2020 MAC TOBY EARTH AWARD

In recognition of Jon M. Huntsman Hall for quality sustainability programs and exceptional building management. The Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) Awards, presented by the Building Operations Managers Association (BOMA), are popularly regarded as the most prestigious of its category in the commercial real estate industry. The MAC (Middle Atlantic Conference) TOBY awards recognize the exceptional procedures and management practices of select buildings across 11 states and the District of Columbia. These awards acknowledge the immense efforts of the Wharton Operations team, and the combined teamwork of our building occupants who support our progressive safety and security programs and sustainability initiatives.

2019 FACILITY MAINTENANCE DECISIONS ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

In recognition of Jon M. Huntsman Hall for stand-out results in financial management. The building management team targeted energy efficiency and comfort issues with projects that delivered significant cost savings. The Facility Maintenance Decisions Achievement Awards, presented by Facility Maintenance Decisions magazine, recognize the essential role maintenance and engineering departments play in the safe, sustainable and efficient operation of the nation’s institutional and commercial facilities.

The Wharton External Affairs fit-out in the FMC Tower is anticipating WELL Silver Certification, the first on Penn’s campus. WELL Building Standard is the leading tool for improving health and human experience through building design.

This award speaks to our effective communication with first responders, and the high level of training within our own safety response team.

2017 Carpet America Recovery Effort (CARE) Certification

In recognition of diverting 67,900 square feet, the equivalent of over 16 tons, of carpet from landfills.

2016 Level 4 Green Office Certification

In recognition of Level 4 re-certification in the Green Office Certification Program. This certification commends Wharton Operations for the highest score ever awarded in the program with a score of 237 points.
