The Wharton External Affairs fit-out in the FMC Tower is anticipating WELL Silver Certification, the first on Penn’s campus. WELL Building Standard is the leading tool for improving health and human experience through building design.

In recognition of Jon M. Huntsman Hall for green purchasing policies, exceptional recycling practices, composting accomplishments, and water/energy management.

In recognition of Steinberg Hall – Dietrich Hall for quality sustainability programs and exceptional building management. The Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) Awards, presented by the Building Operations Managers Association (BOMA), are popularly regarded as the most prestigious of its category in the commercial real estate industry. The Philadelphia TOBY awards recognize the exceptional procedures and management practices of select buildings within the Greater Philadelphia area. These awards acknowledge the immense efforts of the Wharton Operations team, and the combined teamwork of our building occupants who support our progressive safety and security programs and sustainability initiatives.

In recognition of Steinberg Hall – Dietrich Hall for exceptionally detailed procedures and programs for potential emergency situations including natural disasters and other life-threatening cases. This award speaks to our effective communication with first responders, and the high level of training within our own safety response team.

In recognition of diverting 67,900 square feet, the equivalent of over 16 tons, of carpet from landfills.

In recognition of Level 4 re-certification in the Green Office Certification Program. This certification commends Wharton Operations for the highest score ever awarded in the program with a score of 237 points.

In recognition of the Vance Hall 1st and 2nd floor renovations project. This certification provides independent verification that a building’s design, construction, operations, and maintenance is a resource-efficient, high-performing, healthy, cost-effective building.

In recognition of the Penn/Wharton China Center Fit-Out Project. This certification provides independent verification that a buildings design, construction, operations, and maintenance is a resource-efficient, high-performing, healthy, cost-effective building.
