Suspension of Normal Operations Thursday 2/8/18

The University has suspended normal operations for Thursday, February 8th.  All Wharton buildings will be closed and all classes, events and all other activities scheduled in Wharton campus buildings are cancelled for Thursday, February 8, 2018.  Faculty, staff and PhD’s will have access to their office building via the exterior card reader.

The City of Philadelphia will be celebrating the 2018 Super Bowl champions: the Philadelphia Eagles with a parade that will kick off at Lincoln Financial Field at approx. 11 a.m. and will travel up Broad Street to the Art Museum concluding around 3 p.m.

In advance of the parade multiple road closures will go into effect at 6 p.m. Wednesday.  Please prepare for significant commuter and public transportation delays all day Thursday as the city is anticipating 2 – 3 million people along the parade route to cheer on our Philadelphia Eagles!

It is recommended that residents, employers/employees and visitors sign up for free parade text alerts.  Notifications will provide up-to-date public transportation, public safety and road closure information.  Register by texting “ReadyEagles” to 888-777.
